ShelfScreen is operated by Scale Studio LLC, 2352, 1603 Capitol Avenue, Suite 413A, Cheyenne, WY 82001 (Laramie County), United States, EIN 30-1319669. In this policy "we", "us" and "ShelfScreen" mean Scale Studio LLC.

What this policy covers
This policy covers the website shelfscreen.com and the ShelfScreen price intelligence service, which is in closed beta.
What we collect on this website
- Server logs. Our hosting provider, Vercel Inc., processes your IP address, browser type, the page you request and the time of the request, so that the site can be delivered and protected against abuse.
- No cookies or trackers. This website sets no cookies and uses no analytics or advertising trackers. Its fonts and images are served from our own domain.
- The demo form. During the closed beta the domain field does not send or store what you type. Before we start collecting applications (your company domain and a work email address), we will update this policy to say so.
What the ShelfScreen service collects
ShelfScreen reads publicly available product and price pages of webshops, marketplaces, delivery apps and booking sites, the same pages any shopper can open. It records product, price, promotion, stock and unit price information, and keeps an image of each page as evidence of the reading.
These pages are about products, not people, and we do not set out to collect personal data from them. If a page image happens to show personal data, for example the name of a reviewer, we do not extract or use it.
For our customers we process the business contact details needed to run the service, such as names and work email addresses of the people who use it.
Why we use personal data
- to deliver and secure the website (our legitimate interest in running a safe website);
- to answer enquiries and prepare a demo you asked for (steps taken at your request before a contract);
- to provide the service to customers (performance of a contract);
- to meet legal obligations, for example accounting rules.
Who we share it with
We use service providers who process data on our behalf, currently Vercel Inc. for hosting. We do not sell personal data and we do not share it for advertising.
International transfers
Scale Studio LLC is based in the United States, and our providers may process data there. Where data of people in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom is transferred, we rely on safeguards recognised by law, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or a provider's certification under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.
How long we keep it
We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purpose it was collected for, then delete it. Server logs are kept for the period our hosting provider sets. Enquiry and demo contact details are deleted when the conversation ends, unless you become a customer.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access your personal data, have it corrected or deleted, restrict or object to its use, receive it in a portable format and withdraw consent you gave. Write to hello@kolbert.ai and we will answer within one month.
If you are in the European Union, you may also complain to your local data protection authority.
Children
ShelfScreen is a business service and is not directed at children under 16.
Changes
We will post any change to this policy on this page and update the date at the top.
